Background: Dr. Satya began his medical studies in India and later migrated to England to pursue surgery. There, he trained with the Royal College of Surgeons, gaining expertise in General and Vascular Surgery.
New Zealand Calling: In 2007, Dr. Satya settled in New Zealand with his family, seeking a balanced work-life blend. His diverse background spans General Surgery, Urology, Vascular Surgery, and eventually Cardiothoracic Surgery after earning his PhD in 2013.
Research Trailblazer: During his doctoral studies, Dr. Satya secured substantial research funding (over $2 million) through the HRC Fellowship. His groundbreaking work was even featured in TED talks.
Awards and Recognition: Dr. Satya’s excellence didn’t go unnoticed. He received prestigious awards from the College of Cardiac Surgeons and was an invited guest speaker at the Cardiac Surgery meeting for the Royal College of Surgeons in Adelaide.
Surgical Prowess: Throughout his career, Dr. Satya has performed a wide range of surgeries, including General Surgical, Cardiovascular, Heart & Lung, and Plastic Reconstructive procedures. He’s also a DHB-approved surgeon for complex reconstructive skin cancers.
Beyond Vasectomy: Dr. Satya’s passion extends beyond vasectomies. He explores hernia repairs, lumps and bumps operations (including breast procedures), and even minimally invasive varicose vein therapy.
Community Connection: Dr. Satya is well-regarded in the Pasifika community for his efficient surgical skills, offering affordable circumcisions in Henderson, West Auckland. As a GP Physician, he also cares for patients beyond the operating room.
